Nick Davis: From Broadway to Ironman, the Mustached Trainer's Journey (2026)

Nick Davis, a fitness trainer with a unique mustache, is making waves in the fitness world. His journey to becoming a reality TV star began with a family legacy of athleticism. Davis' dad and brother have both competed in Ironman championships, while his mom played on the first collegiate women's hockey team. But it was his bushy mustache that caught the eye of a show rep and sealed the deal on his casting for the inaugural season of Trainer Games on Prime Video.

Davis, a lifelong dancer and fitness coach, has a chiseled physique that lights up the screen. However, it was his bushy mustache that stood out and became his 'selling point' for getting on the show. He explains, 'I kind of started to get this feeling of 'Oh my God, this is becoming my selling point for getting on this show!' They kept talking about it. I was like, 'OK, if this is gonna get me a potential shot at a $250,000 contract with iFit, I guess I have no choice but to keep the mustache.'

Over a multi-week span in Mauritius, Davis and nine other elite trainers pushed themselves to their physical and mental limits, all for the hope of landing a quarter of a million dollar fitness contract. Fresh off completing his first Ironman 70.3, Davis is used to pushing his body to the max. He describes Trainer Games as his most grueling challenge yet, saying, 'You have to keep pushing. It’s very much a mental game.'

Despite the physical and mental demands, Davis found time to chat with Queerty about his career on Broadway, the hottest muscle to accentuate, and how he fits in 8-mile runs between parties on Fire Island. He reveals that his fitness routine is a hybrid of strength training and endurance training, with a focus on avoiding over-training. He also shares his running playlist, which includes lots of Charli XCX and Chappell Roan.

Davis also discusses the strength involved in being a pro dancer, noting that it's an incredible amount of strength. He reveals that his mustache has become such a part of him that he can't imagine or remember what his face looks like without it on. He also shares his love for food and theater, and his idea of a good time is catching drag shows in Hell's Kitchen.

But it's his mustache that has become his signature look, and it's getting him work. As he puts it, 'Now eight months later after that initial call, it’s become such a part of me that I can’t imagine or remember what my face looks like without it on. It’s getting me work, what can I say?'
